Question by : advice for back/bed problems?
i recently moved into an apartment that was already furnished. it came with a full sized bed with a metal frame. ever since i moved in i have been having lower back pains, usually most sever in the morning/afternoon. i am only 18 and only slightly overweight so those are out of the equation.
i am almost certain my problems arise from my mattress but is it possible that it could be the metal frame? it has horizontal bars spaced 4-5 inches apart along its length.
*if i am to get a new mattress are air mattresses a good/cheap alternative?* i’m on a bit of a budget and will be sleeping on the floor instead of the bed unless i can find a substitute.
lastly, any advice for lower back pain, such as cures or home made pain suppressants?
i’ll be on for several more hours so i’ll choose a best one tonight.

Sometimes it just takes your body a few weeks to get used to a new mattress. A few tips:
Don’t sleep on your stomach. Sleep on your back with a pillow under your knees, or on your side with a pillow between your knees.
If your problem doesn’t go away, its probably your mattress and not the frame. An air mattress works for some people that have back problems. They are fairly cheap, but vary in price based on quality. I personally prefer a medium-firm innerspring mattress.
Motrin PM works wonders when you really need to get a good night sleep, but its not a good long-term solution by any means.

Question by Princess D: Carpet and allergies…Which carpet is better????
I have allergies and I am getting ready to move into an apartment. It seems very difficult to find an apartment that has tile throughout the home (including the bedroom). Because of this, I am willing to settle for an apartment that has tile throughout the home except for the bedroom. I have two choices. First choice: an apartment that got newly renovated, with brand new regular carpet (no one has lived in the apartment since it was renovated). Second choice: another apartment that got renovated, has berber carpet, and did have people already occupy the room since its renovation. So my question is: because of my allergies, should I pick the apartment with the new regular carpeting, or the apartment with the used/cleaned berber carpeting??? Which would be better for my allergies (so I won’t get any signs/symptoms of it). Please help! Sleeping without sneezing would be lovely!!!!
